Interactive Photocomic creator looking for creative models

I'm developing a photocomic, primarily for the web, but also to be a printed book (if all goes well). It's a totally independent venture, I'm a graphic/web designer with a thing for graphic novels, and this is my pet project.

It's a superspy action/intrigue sort of thing, with a fine balance between the eye candy of the photography/artwork and the complexities of the plot. Anyway, the project's still in development, and I'm doing test shots with models and working on the digital enhancements for the artwork, deciding on the style I'm going to use.

Female artist looking for new model

My name is Nina Pak, I'm a mixed media artist living in the Phoenix Arizona area.
I have an upcoming show in the fall. I am currently looking for new models. The body of work I am currently doing will be large photo transfers onto canvas or paper, which I will paint on. The work I require of a model will be a photo session.
I will then work from these images. You must be 18 years or older. I prefer someone who is not shy about thier body and willing to model nude or drapped, although some costumes will be used. No previous model experience is necessary. I like someone who can move freely, dancers are welcome. Also someone who is able to take direction is welcome.
It is not nessasary that you are "Pretty" (a fashion magazine type). I like flaws and diversity, I like an unusual look. I would also enjoy photographing more ethnic types. You don't need to be tall, it doesn't matter for the kind of work I do.
I work mostly with women, but would be willing to photograh men if thier look inspires me.
I work fast, I prefer natural light, I create a comfortable environment.
My usual arriangement is a trade of prints for your time. I require a signed model release.
I'm generous with my models.

Hi everyone, I'm new to this tribe. I am looking to make connections with artists and fashion designers of all types who are already in business for themselves (with their own customers), and can provide samples for us to market with.

We are (quietly) starting the launch of Creative Endeavors Consulting Partners, which has been in development for seven years by Creative Endeavors Consulting Company. Our mission statement:

Creative Endeavors Consulting Partners is comprised of entrepreneurial-minded individuals and partner companies with the vision, problem solving, and experienced leadership ability needed to bring together the worlds of creative and business.

We are looking to form Alliances with artists in various mediums. Their creativity and ours will be utilized in the development of projects and product lines. The type of people we are looking for are clothing and jewelry designers, painters, sculptures, fashion illustrators, entertainers (for special events), photographers (for photo shoots), etc. Right now I am only interested in people/companies in California to ease into things. Later we will expand our search nationwide.

Please understand this is *not* a situation where we take whatever the artist has made and go look for markets to sell it to. We are creating markets, and inviting artists that have aligned with us into deals. Please also understand that we do not want to be the artist's primary form of income, which is why we want to work with already established businesses.

BLUESPACE may be looking for an artist or two for the grand opening event and definitely for future shows.
The grand opening will have a specific theme, which is to make living, breathing, performance art from one of your pieces, in collaboration with a performance artist of your choice. This could be someone just walking around the gallery dressed a certain way and acting a certain way to match your piece, or it could be an actual performance, or it could be a random occurance/gag piece ala Andy Kaufman, which is what I am going to do as well as at least one of the other artists on the bill. It's going to be fun stuff.

Hey everyone!

Ok, I know it's Friday night. But I am contributing part of mine to the future Friday nights we may all enjoy on Hollywood Blvd @ bluegirl Productions!

If anyone would like to help out Friday 5/7- I will be in the space working again, and I say we make a party out of it! Lets have some fun! We'll have some beer, play some music, and clean up the space!
Last night Mark McBride came over to help out, and steven brought a gang of creative minded friends over to see the space and offer suggestions. After you see the space, I would LOVE it if you would write down your suggestions and ideas and email them to me so I can try and work them into the "master plan". I want this thing to be "something for everyone" not just something for the bluechick (although I am sure what I have in mine- you all will LOVE). I want you ALL involved. It's the bluegirl's very own "factory"! Oh yes!!

So gather your tools, cleaning supplies- whatever you want to contribute to make raw space into ARTIST SPACE and drop by baby bluegirl Productions tomorrow. I'll be there at 6 pm...

Plans for tomorrow: sand down the walls in the rough spots, seal up holes (may need to get some sheet rock for some spots and some um, whatever that stuff is that you seal up holes with, and need to clean and strip windows (I ran out of Windex last night!), get those curtains done (Alsana!!) and clean up! I have brooms, a mop, and a ladder. But i dont have a lot of cleaner supplies. so if anyone can contribute anything please let me know!!

New Stuff

Well, the shoot with Alsana went GREAT!!! What a HOT night! It was an artistic ORGY. I had two hot man-assistants to do the binding, spanking (for a REAL red bottom, we didn't use makeup!) and "wetting down" (but I got to bath her myself...). A sub photographer & model having two dominant men as assistants, how nice! LOL I was in the tub, alsana was in the toilet, it was wonderful. Yes, I was shooting...

Showdate: Thursday, 30 October, 2003
Concepts + Background:

DETROIT DAILY NEWS, 1995 -- Thousands of volunteers
who patrolled streets were credited with thwarting
widespread fires in the pre-Halloween arson spree
called Devil's Night. The Detroit News reported 41
fires had been confirmed at midnight, far fewer than
182 reported last year and the 297 that burned in 1985
when the burnings of trash piles and houses peaked.

A gasoline washed Halloween - cities burn and children
learn of Devil’s Night.

The season’s stench of burning leaves meets the Pagan
Rites of centuries.

Pyromaniacs push the disease. A hell on Earth is what
they see.

Mortal flesh cause mischief in the street. More trick
than treat.

So, what are we looking for?

Devil's Night has long been a night of mischief in
major cities. We want to celebrate its destructive,
mischievous nature by holding an art show on Devil’s
Night. The work should portray art centered on
mischievous, playful or destructive themes (or
anything you see fit involving Devil’s Night – such as
pranks – cities burning, etc.) ALL participants MUST
send a jpg to: bobashtray@aol.com and
mistersomber@yahoo.com and djg180@hotmail.com . Some
artwork will be selected to hang for 1 to 2 months,
others will hang for the night.

We want original and new pieces specifically for this
show. Call Ethan Minsker at 212.979.8165 with
questions or to make other arrangements. For example,
you may leave samples with an antagonist at the
Gallery on Thursday nights after 10pm under Niagara
112 Ave A and 7th St. (however, please note we are not
responsible for lost or stolen property so please do
not bring originals for review)

LOL... well, I am not quite sure what I am doing exactly, but I thought I would start my own little "tribe"... and use it somewhat like a yahoo group. I guess that's sorta what it is, really. Pretty cool. But right now I am posting for myself since I am the only member so uh, I'm gonna go now. heh.
Oh, and after you join- feel free to post anything you want art-related, about events, or if you have any questions for me, or comments, etc... this should be fun!
